I'm going to be busy this summer!

Wow another year of college done.  It feels good to accomplish this again and with grades that I am happy with.  However with the end of another year of college also means the questions of where to go for a summer job.  After doing summer sales in Texas last summer, and learning a lot, I decided that it wasn't really my type of thing.  I applied for several jobs this summer hoping that I wouldn't be forced back into doing something that I didn't particularly like or forced to take a job that wouldn't meet the demands of college tuition.  Well I am very happy to say that I have been extremely blessed this summer and have been able to take employment with two great companies this summer.

The first being URS they, as I understand it, work for Monsanto by mining the silica rock that is needed for the process of purifying the "elemental phosphorous".  A great job that makes me feel like they truly want me to be safe, and I do feel that way after two full days of safety training.  I have been asked to fulfill a Utility Laborer position, which as I haven't officially started yet, remains a little hazy as to my actual duties.  However, I am excited and ready to start actually working.

The second jobs is with one of my former employers, Wade Clarke,  he was extremely kind in offering me a job at his barley processing plant called The Alexander Company, in case things didn't work out with the other jobs which i had already applied for.  Even though I did take the job with URS he was still willing to let me come work for him on the weekends so I can get some additional hours this summer.  I'm so grateful for his generosity.

Truly things really seemed to have come together for me this summer and I couldn't be happier.  With the two jobs I should be working about 55 hours a week so hopefully I will be able to make all of the money necessary for my college tuition and also some money to play with.  Can you say dirt bike. YES dirt bike.  Well that's the goal anyway we will see.

December 12, 2010

Hello Everyone who knows me.  This is a little weird, I always figured that blogs were for girls but I've recently met several men that have blogs and It kind of  made me excited for a way to express the feeling that you get while going through life.  It's a lot easier for me to express myself through writing than talking for whatever reason that is.  Especially considering that fact that I am one of the worst writers of all time, just ask my mom she will confirm everything, if you can't figure it out by following my blog.

I've added this picture simply for future reference.  So in the years to come I can look back and see how dumb I look.  I would like to point out that I do have facial hair pretty much for the first time ever, and i've gotten several compliments on it, much to my surprise.  I will also draw your attention to the "wings" (hair flowing outward from behind my ears), i've been working on growing out my hair long enough to do that for several months.  Well I think that will do for my first ever blog.
